"'I Need You' was originally written in '08 and performed around the country for a decade before making it onto BJSR's debut LP 'A. The Creative' in April of last year. Going by his production entity 'reallyreal', Joey Beach got his hands on the stems shortly before the close of the decade and transformed the song into a tonal landscape that harkens to a different area. This Americana-inspired interpretation of the pop ballad replaces the synths, strings and drums with harmonica, tambourine & pedal steel guitars to paint a heart-wrenching portrait of a hopeless romantic's realization that they are not an island. BJSR proprietor Ben Rivet’s passionate tenor lead vocals, lush harmonies remain from the original and hover over Beach’s bent guitar licks, highlighting the emotional back & forth of the lyrics." - from the BJSR page
